Facilities

Our facilities are extensive and they're brought to life by a skilled, cohesive team. As all facilities occupy the same site, communication flow remains simple and client visits can encompass the whole project within a time-efficient schedule. A deep water marina on site provides for all-tides secure mooring of new and visiting vessels, and a deep water channel takes vessels down the Tamaki River and into the Waitemata Harbour.

Four separate build halls

With four separate build halls, plus full engineering, electrical and joinery workshops, design office and administration block, we have ample facilities to accommodate projects. All of our main construction halls have overhead gantries and are accessible by our 60 tonne travel lift, while new projects use our 300 tonne slipway.

Onsite engineering

Our full in-house engineering office staffed by an experienced, multi-disciplinary design team, enables maximum design flexibility and opportunity for stakeholder engagement throughout the build process.

Full CAD design ensures detailed construction and systems information remains available for long term maintenance. Whenever scheduled maintenance is due, we'll have the vessel's information at our fingertips and ready to go.

Coordinated efficiency

It starts with our onsite computer numerical control (CNC) plasma plate cutting and flat bed router, which ensure efficient, precision cutting of plate and panel materials.

Add to that a direct electronic link from design office to shop floor, and the opportunity for error is reduced while ability to efficiently stick to schedule is enhanced.

All trades in situ

Our world-class tradesmen mean all your work can be carried out onsite, and we've made an extensive investment in our welding department to give you the best possible results.

Automatic plate welders deliver improved efficiency, while robotic welders ensure repeatable quality. Our metal workers are class-approved and work alongside highly-experienced marine engineers and marine electricians. A dedicated paint shop, onsite stainless steel polishing and electrical and electronic engineering & installation add to the list of services available.
